Meat Destroyer Champ
2008 – A veteran of the local competitive eating circuit, Biker Rich showed up to the 2008 Destroyer with a vengeance. This cagey veteran actually ‘called his shot’ early in the afternoon, proclaiming himself the easy victor. Rich bombarded the other competitors with a fury of sausage and pulled pork consumption, going ‘heavy’ early on in the day. A group of young hopefuls kept up with the mighty biker until around 6pm, but they proved to be no match.
2009 – Biker Rich* When asked what the asterisk symbolized to him, the beleaguered Biker Rich had this to say: “Asterisk shmasterisk. So what? How many have you won?” He remains the only two-time champion, and said he used the proceeds from this victory to have the sleeves removed from some otherwise unwearable t-shirts.
